10 minutes in and nek minit*, all over

It's a touch hard to exercise when ones recently repaired knee decides that it doesn't want to cooperate with cardio. It also makes it hard to do sit ups when it decides to start sublexating. Not cool bro.

Stupid knees. Who needs them?

Goal 17

The aim of this goal was really simple; who doesn't like getting flowers? Conveniently, my friend E had a baby last week, so I sent her this bouquet of daffodils and lollipops

Whoops, but look! A list!

Um, so I kind of got busy and forgot about this. And then when I did remember, I felt guilty and avoided it, cos you know - the internets may think badly of me. Or something. And lately there has been rugby (Go All Blacks! 2011 World Cup is ours!...and sorry Canada for smashing you today).

But I'm back! I have things to say too. Firstly, had my surgery (pretty successful, still v amused when I scratch the medial side, the lateral side (which is numb) feels it instead), and got my Gamsat results (63!), applied and got denied, and didn't actually care very much, so there was that. Move to Australia, got a job (finally!) and am enjoying getting paid lots of money. This may or may not be the thing that is pushing me away from med for the moment, but more on that later.

Since I've decided to give med a break for a few years, I've decided to do a 101 in 1001 list. It took me over a month to come up with goals; I got stuck on 70 for a long time. I am very excited about doing this, it's really pushing me out of my comfort zone and giving me a chance to have a reason for doing some things. There are a couple of things on the list that are rather random, and a few that I really should have done by now. I started on Sept 24 2011, and will finish on June 21st 2014 (shortest day of the year). I wanted to have a finishing date of May 31st 2011 (day before my 29th birthday), but didn't finish in time. Oh well, maybe I will finish them early.
